Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum order?

One piece on DTF printing. No bulk requirement - order a single shirt or five hundred. Embroidery and screen printing are quoted per job, so call 647-739-9487 and we will tell you what makes sense for your quantity.

How long does an order take?

Most orders are ready within 72 hours, depending on the size of the run. Shipping or delivery time comes on top of that. Larger orders take longer - tell us your deadline when you enquire and we will be straight with you about whether it is possible.

How much do custom t-shirts cost?

Printing starts at $10 per piece with the garment included. The rate drops as quantity rises - every tier has its own price. Build your design in the design studio to see the price as you go, or call us for a quote.

Which printing method should I choose?

DTF for small orders and full-colour artwork - one piece minimum, photographic detail, no setup. Screen printing for large runs of one or two colours, cheapest per piece at volume. Embroidery for polos, caps and jackets where you want a stitched, professional finish. Full detail on the DTF, screen printing and embroidery pages.

Can I bring my own garments?

Yes. Print on your own stock, or choose from our catalogue of 225 styles. Both work.

I am not good with computers. Can you make the artwork?

Yes, and it costs nothing extra. Call us, describe what you want, and we will build the artwork and send you an image to approve before anything goes to production. A logo from a business card, a photo of an old shirt, a sketch on paper - we will work from any of it.

Do I see the design before it is printed?

Yes - you approve it yourself before you order. The design studio puts your artwork on the actual garment, in the colour and size you picked. What you approve on that screen is exactly what we print, so check the spelling and placement carefully. If we build the artwork for you instead, we send you an image to approve first.

What file formats do you accept?

PNG, JPG, PDF, AI, EPS and SVG. Vector or 300 DPI is ideal. If your file is not print-ready, we will fix it.

Where do you deliver?

Pickup in Toronto by appointment, delivery across the GTA, and shipping throughout Ontario, Canada and the United States. Delivery is free on orders over $250.

Can someone come out with samples?

Yes, and it is free. If you are ordering for a team, a shop or a crew, call us first. We will bring garments out to you so you can handle the fabric and see the colours in person before you commit. Most people change their mind about fabric once they have held a few.

How many print locations can I have?

Multiple locations on the same order - front, back, left chest and sleeves. Tell us where you want it and we will lay it out.

What sizes do you carry?

XS through 4XL in most styles, with youth sizing available on many. You can mix sizes freely in one order.

How does payment work?

Payment is taken upfront, before production begins.

Do bulk orders cost less per piece?

Yes. Pricing runs in tiers - the more you order, the lower the rate per garment. For a large run, call us and we will quote it directly.

How long have you been doing this?

The uncle has been printing out of a Toronto garage for years, for clients who found him by word of mouth. Printing Uncle is the same work with a catalogue, a design studio and Canada-wide shipping attached. More on the about page.

Where can I get t-shirts printed in Toronto?

Here. We print in Toronto, deliver across the GTA and ship across Canada. Call 647-739-9487, or design it yourself in the studio.

Can I print just one shirt?

Yes. One piece minimum on DTF printing, and a single shirt costs the same per print as a hundred.

How much does it cost to print 50 t-shirts?

It depends on the garment and how many places you print. A basic heavy cotton tee with one front print is the cheapest starting point; a premium blank with front and back costs more. Call with your garment, quantity and locations and we will give you a number in a couple of minutes. See what moves the price.

Do you print same day?

No. Most orders are ready within 72 hours, and that is the honest answer. If your date is close, call 647-739-9487 and we will tell you whether it is possible rather than take the order and miss. See rush orders.

Do you do puff print?

Yes. 3D puff rises off the fabric, so bold lettering and thick shapes stand up in relief - the finish on most streetwear hoodies that look expensive. It needs weight in the design: thin lines and small text collapse as the ink rises, and we will tell you that before printing rather than after. Minimum 10 pieces, quoted per job. See the specialty finishes.

Can you print glow in the dark?

Yes. It charges under light and glows once the lights drop, which suits night events, festivals, bars and Halloween. It works on black and dark garments - against white the glow is barely visible. Minimum 10 pieces, quoted per job. See the specialty finishes.

Can you do gold or metallic printing?

Yes. Gold DTF catches light and shifts as the garment moves, which is why it suits anniversaries, awards and launches. It works best on bold shapes and on dark garments - fine detail loses the metallic effect. We also run soft silicone and heavyweight thick fashion finishes. Minimum 10 pieces on any of them. See the specialty finishes.

Can you print my logo on hats?

Yes - caps and beanies are usually embroidered rather than printed, because a stitched logo sits better on a structured front panel and lasts longer. See the headwear range.

Do you print hoodies too?

Yes. Hoodies, crewnecks, full-zips, polos, jackets, aprons, caps, tote bags and workwear. Browse hoodies or see the whole catalogue.

Can you put a different name on each shirt?

Yes, at no extra setup cost. DTF prints every garment individually, so twenty shirts with twenty different names cost the same as twenty identical ones. This is why grad classes, sports teams and stag parties use it.

Do you deliver in Mississauga?

Yes - free on orders over $250. Same across Brampton, Scarborough, North York, Etobicoke, Vaughan and Markham. See the Mississauga page.

Will the print crack or fade after washing?

Not if it is washed properly. Wash cold, inside out, tumble dry low, and do not iron directly on the print. Screen printing is the most durable on cotton; DTF holds up well on everything.
